Born on the 15th April 1971 Axel Breuer grew up in Southern Germany near the Swiss and French border. From 1992 until 1996 he studied cinematography in switzerland. During his studies he worked as a cameraman for architecture film projects about Richard Meier, Carlo Scarpa, Jean Nouvel and Mario Botta. Before graduation he was was called to work as Director of Photography on a major film project for the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ – group. In 1996 he moved to Munich to work as postproduction supervisor, then Creative Director at Germany’s biggest television and feature production company ‘Bavaria Film Studios’. When a director did not show up, he took over – and became addicted to directing. Since then Axel Breuer has directed more than 100 commercials, corporate presentations and several feature and documentary projects. Among the clients: Unicredit/HypoVereinsbank, Deutsche Bank, SAP, Volkswagen, Deutsche Telekom. He created concepts for several corporate television and intranet media solutions like SAP-tv and Unicredit’s VIA-channel. In 2004 he founded the Voodoo Creative Partners for a broader range of services and clients. Axel Breuer  has received several awards for his work as screenwriter and director: The New York Festivals Gold and Silver Award,  CLIO, worldmedia award and several others.
